Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC) was established in September 2014 as part of a joint initiative by the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy, the Ministry of Education, and the Incheon Free Economic Zone Authority (IFEZA) to attract leading overseas universities to Korea. Rather than being a branch campus, GUGC operates as an extended campus, with Ghent University faculty teaching the same curriculum and awarding the same degrees as the home campus in Belgium. Drawing on 200 years of academic excellence, GUGC aims to cultivate world-class talent and research in Korea, marking a new milestone in the development of Korean higher education.

Share meals, exchange ideas and build friendships that go beyond the classroom. At Ghent University Global Campus, student life is compact, connected and genuinely international — everything you need is right here on campus. GUGC offers on-campus dormitory accommodation designed to support both your academic focus and your social life. Living on campus means you are never far from your next lecture, your next meal or your next conversation with a fellow student from across the world.

At Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC), students have access to on-campus dormitory facilities provided by Incheon Global Campus (IGC) — a shared living environment alongside students from Utah Asia Campus, George Mason University Korea, and State University of New York (SUNY) Korea.
