Ghent University Global Campus (GUGC) aims to educate life scientists who can push the boundaries of knowledge and engineering for the benefit of society. To achieve this mission, we offer undergraduate programmes in Molecular Biotechnology, Environmental Technology, and Food Technology, delivering innovative, laboratory-based education with a strong international focus. All three programmes are accredited in both Flanders and Korea.

  • For the first two years, students complete a common set of core courses before declaring their specialism in the third academic year.

  • For international students applying for the September intake, the application deadline is May 31 to allow sufficient time for visa and entry preparations.
Academic Requirements for International Qualifications
  • International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP)
  • U.S. High School Diploma (with 4 or more AP courses)
  • Cambridge International A-Level / AICE Diploma
  • Canadian Secondary / High School Diploma (OSSD or Dogwood Diploma)
  • New Zealand National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA)
  • Malaysia STPM / UEC Diploma
  • Diplomas or qualifications not listed above are subject to an individual equivalency review. Please contact admission@ghent.ac.kr for further information.

  • Official Transcript (in English)
  • Standardized Test Report (SAT Math 720, ACT Math 32, or GUGC Online Aptitude Test 14/20)
  • English Proficiency Certificate (TOEFL 4.0 / IELTS 6.0 / IB 5 / SAT 500 / ACT 21)
Optional Documents
  • Personal Statement (in English)
  • Awards and Extracurricular Activities Report (in English)
  • All transcripts and diplomas must be notarised and submitted before enrollment. Failure to provide notarised copies may result in the cancellation of admission.
GUGC Aptitude Test
  • For General Admission, applicants must meet the minimum academic requirement by submitting one of the following:
    • GUGC Online Aptitude Test: 14/20 or higher
    • SAT Math: 720 or higher
    • ACT Math: 32 or higher
  • GUGC Online Aptitude Test: 20 questions covering mathematics and chemistry, to be completed within 120 minutes.
  • Test fee: USD 65 per attempt.
